We want to bring life-saving essentials to families who lost everything overnight.
When Cyclone Ditwah struck, villages and homes were swept away in minutes. Over 774,000 people were affected, and more than 100,000 families are now displaced and uncertain about tomorrow.
Emerging Hope has responded to past floods and even the bombing of 2018, and once again we are prepared to deliver urgent relief to those affected.
We aim to support 75 families with essential recovery packs. Each pack will contain:
-
Package of dry food (10g rice, 1kg lentils, 800g milk powder, 250g pack of tea, 1kg sugar)
-
5 cubes of baby soap
-
1 sleeping mattress
-
2 towels
-
2 blankets
-
1 sanitary pad packet
-
Hygiene cleaning packs to prevent illness
-
Mosquito coil pack
To provide these supplies, we are estimating an approximate fundraising goal of USD 7,500.
Your donation will provide life-saving relief — food for starving children, warm bedding for families who no longer have a home and a chance at rebuild their lives.
Any contribution, regardless of any amount you share is valuable and will directly assist someone who is in need of support.
Many have lost their homes and only source of income.
When the floods came, houses filled with water in minutes. Walls, furniture, clothes — everything was damaged or swept away.
Shops that families depended on were also destroyed. Goods were ruined, equipment was lost, and many no longer have a way to earn a living.
Your support will help them begin again—to rebuild their homes, restore their shops, and regain a sense of normal life.
